POSITION SUMMARY:

This role involves overseeing the preparation and production of culinary offerings within a designated area of the Food Service Department. The position includes direct supervision of a food service outlet.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee and assist in the preparation and presentation of all culinary items.
  • Ensure that food is fresh and prepared promptly.
  • Schedule staff and manage the production of food items based on anticipated attendance.
  • Responsible for procuring food materials and supplies to accommodate the expected number of guests daily.
  • Minimize waste and ensure food costs are maintained within budget each month.
  • Train team members in food production and presentation techniques.
  • Maintain recipe documentation and training records.
  • Create new recipes for special events and the restaurant menu.
  • Uphold a clean and safe working environment.
  • Submit work orders for the repair of malfunctioning equipment.
  • Ensure that floors are kept clean and dry.
  • Regularly clean walls and maintain the cleanliness of coolers.
  • Actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by adhering to established policies, procedures, and training.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory culinary role is required;
  • or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • Professional Food Manager Certification is required.
  • Chef apprentice certification is preferred.
