We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Registration Representative to join our team at Optum. As a Patient Registration Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care by accurately collecting and verifying patient demographics, health information, and insurance eligibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with patients and families to complete the registration process
  • Utilize computer systems to enter and verify patient data in real-time
  • Generate and review patient data reports to identify issues and inconsistencies
  • Work independently for extended periods to meet productivity and quality standards

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 6+ months of experience in an office setting, customer service, or phone support role
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Google applications and ability to learn new systems
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute
  • Availability to work standard shift hours, Tuesday-Saturday, in 8-hour shifts from 11:00am-8:30pm

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • 1+ year of registration experience in a hospital or medical setting
  • Working knowledge of insurance policies and procedures
