Job Title: Wireless Infrastructure Specialist

At Kanaan Communications, LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Wireless Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the construction, installation, and maintenance of communications towers and support structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Climbing and working on communications towers for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems equipment
  • Performing tower maintenance under close supervision
  • Leading and documenting the daily job task safety analysis (JTSA)
  • Ability to successfully perform, sweep, PIM, and OTDR testing
  • Completing PPE Inspection
  • Ability to follow assembly instructions, proper tool use, donning of harness, climbing techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and use the information contained
  • Completing setup of a capstan hoist, hoisting operations using different rigging configurations
  • Use and care of hand tools
  • Respecting the hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working on or near energized lines and equipment
Requirements:
  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • 3+ years of industry experience and previous tower climbing experience
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Requires travel and overnight stays for extended periods of time
Physical Demands:
  • Work outside in all weather conditions, including seasonally hot or cold temperatures and climate weather
  • The ability to climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with a 50 lb. load
  • Use and care of hand tools
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform duties
