Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. This role requires a certified pharmacy technician with leadership experience and a strong understanding of pharmacy operations, customer service, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in the delivery of patient care, including patient registration, prescription data entry, and medication preparation.
  • Lead performance management of technicians, including making decisions and recommendations regarding discipline and termination.
  • Manage core pharmacy workflow, drive excellence in pharmacy operations, and coordinate daily activities.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, patients, and team members.
  • Manage inventory, maintain accurate records, and ensure proper operation and maintenance of pharmacy equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with pharmacy team members, relaying messages and participating in key store/pharmacy meetings.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
  • One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous people management/leadership experience.
  • Previous work experience with Walgreens with an Exceeding Expectation on last performance evaluation.
Salary Range:

The current salary range for this position is $22.50 per hour - $31.00 per hour.
