Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the performance of pharmacy duties, including filling prescriptions, verifying medication information, and checking for potential interactions.
  • Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, and process prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
  • Participate in clinical services, including collecting and labeling blood/urine samples, and assisting with medical provider detailing and outreach.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer good math skills and computer skills.
  • Prefer PTCB or ExCPT certification.
