About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Music Therapist to join our team at AccentCare, Inc. as a Hospice Care Specialist. As a Music Therapist in this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide music therapy services to patients in a hospice setting
  • Develop and implement individualized music therapy plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Conduct music therapy sessions in a variety of settings, including patient rooms and common areas
  • Document patient progress and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Board Certified as a Music Therapist (MT-BC) by the Certification Board for Music Therapy (CBMT)
  • 1 year of experience in a hospital, home health, or hospice setting
  • Clean driving record and reliable automobile
  • Valid driver's license and minimum state required liability auto insurance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Music with a concentration in Music Therapy and/or Music Therapy from an American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) approved university (or undergraduate equivalency program approved by AMTA)
  • Reliable automobile, valid driver's license, and minimum state required liability auto insurance

Additional Qualifications:

  • Level II Music Therapist: 2 years of full-time experience as a Music Therapist in a Healthcare setting, highest level of licensure within the state, if applicable, Approved AMTA Intern Supervisor status, Advanced HPMT certification status
  • Level III Music Therapist: 5 years of full-time experience as a Music Therapist in a Healthcare setting, Master's Degree in Music Therapy or Counseling Equivalent field, highest level of licensure within the state, if applicable, Approved AMTA Intern Supervisor status, Advanced HPMT certification status
