We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Music Therapist to join our UNC Children's team located on the beautiful campus of UNC Chapel Hill. As a top-tier academic medical center, UNC Children's upholds a four-tiered mission to "CARE," aligning clinical care, advocacy, research, and education to deliver world-class, family-centered care - always regardless of a family's ability to pay.

Responsibilities
  • Consult with multidisciplinary providers and teammates to develop and implement music-based interventions for pediatric patients.
  • Evaluate patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance activities to ensure compliance with JCAHO standards and hospital policies.
  • Plan and coordinate music therapy programs for specific clinical service areas, including pain management and coping skills development.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to design and implement research projects in the Department of Music Therapy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy or related field with an internship.
  • Certified Music Therapist by the Board of Music Therapists.
  • One year of experience in the field of Music Therapy.
