Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide music therapy services to patients in hospice care settings
  • Develop and implement individualized music therapy plans to meet patients' unique needs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Conduct music therapy sessions in a variety of settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and patient homes
Requirements:
  • Board Certification as a Music Therapist (MT-BC) by the Certification Board for Music Therapy (CBMT)
  • 1 year of experience in a hospital, home health, or hospice setting
  • Valid driver's license and reliable automobile

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Music with a concentration in Music Therapy and/or Music Therapy from an American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) approved university
  • Must have reliable automobile, valid driver's license, and minimum state required liability auto insurance
Additional Qualifications:
  • Level II Music Therapist: 2 years of full-time experience as a Music Therapist in a Healthcare setting, highest level of licensure within the state, and Approved AMTA Intern Supervisor status
  • Level III Music Therapist: 5 years of full-time experience as a Music Therapist in a Healthcare setting, Master's Degree in Music Therapy or Counseling Equivalent field, highest level of licensure within the state, and Approved AMTA Intern Supervisor status
