Position Overview

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a Senior Claims Analyst to join our dedicated team. This role involves the thorough examination of correspondence, medical documentation, claims, electronically transmitted data, and various forms to ensure effective follow-up until all issues are satisfactorily resolved. Each interaction must be meticulously documented, and collaboration with supervisors is essential when timely resolutions are not achievable.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and process agreement forms while providing comprehensive support and follow-up for order responses.
- Assist in the facilitation of issue resolution and offer support to clients and other departments as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with a criminal background check requirement.

Compensation Structure
The position is classified as pay grade 7 within a 14-grade pay structure, allowing for a competitive compensation package tailored to the unique needs of our agency.

Telework Policy
Our agency currently operates under a hybrid telework model. While full remote work is not available, candidates may be required to report to our Headquarters or Regional Office as needed. Telework arrangements will be determined by the Director or Manager based on departmental needs. Initial training and orientation will be conducted at the Headquarters Office.

Minimum Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience in training, coaching, and employee development.
- Hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment, including printing and shipping.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and technical issues with commercial inserter machines and high-volume printers.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a goal-oriented setting.
- Proficiency in PDF manipulation and Microsoft Office applications, along with data entry and retrieval skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks with keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with USPS rules and regulations relevant to correspondence management.
- Experience operating pallet jacks and high-production inserter machines.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Additional Considerations
- Knowledge of Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission processes is preferred.
