Job Overview

Blaze Credit Union is in search of a seasoned Senior Business Development Specialist. This role is pivotal in fostering credit union expansion by identifying, establishing, and nurturing relationships with organizational clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strengthen relationships and service offerings to organizational clients by exploring new avenues for growth.
  • Maintain consistent communication with essential Select Employee Groups and primary group contacts.
  • Assist key SEG and core group contacts with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Disseminate marketing materials aimed at enhancing the credit union's visibility among SEG and core group contacts, as well as potential members.
  • Cross-sell various products and services to meet client needs.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of NCUA regulations and guidelines.
  • Engage in networking and prospecting to identify new member opportunities.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and regular attendance to address member needs, including availability during evenings and weekends.
  • Adapt readily to change and embrace innovative ideas.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

  • Demonstrate consistent and predictable attendance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to facilitate efficient department operations.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Previous experience in the media sector is preferred.

Essential Skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Capability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel locally and statewide as needed.

Communication Proficiency

Ability to craft and implement responses to members and staff, documenting and developing new and ongoing techniques to enhance processes; written communications should leverage expert insights from the field, whether as an individual contributor or in a managerial capacity.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and stand; respond to calls; operate a computer; interact with internal staff and the public via phone; travel to designated locations; lift items weighing up to 20 lbs.
