Amazon's accounting division provides opportunities at the Senior Accountant level across various sectors, including Legal Entity & Intercompany, Accounting Policy & Reporting, Operations and Capital, Transportation, Payments & Merchant Services, Retail Operations, Digital, and AWS Accounting.


Key Responsibilities:
Support various facets of our accounting and reporting processes.

Comprehend accounting and financial principles and their applications.


Assess internal control design concepts to evaluate the effectiveness of controls in your area and to create new processes and controls for emerging and expanding business activities.

Make informed judgments to keep projects progressing and ensure accurate decisions are made to finalize monthly accounts.

Exhibit a strong sense of ownership.

Analyze intricate processes and systems data.

Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field.

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of operational accounting experience within a Fortune 500 company.

CPA certification.

Familiarity with internal control frameworks (specifically COSO) to evaluate control design and operational efficiency.

Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification.

Experience in accounting management with Big Four firms serving Fortune 500 clients.

Experience in researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions.

Our compensation reflects the labor costs across various US geographic markets.

The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market.

Compensation is influenced by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon offers a comprehensive compensation package.

Depending on the position, equity, sign-on bonuses, and other forms of compensation may be included as part of a total compensation package, along with a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
