Amazon's accounting division offers opportunities at the Senior Accountant level across various areas including Legal Entity & Intercompany, Accounting Policy & Reporting, Operations and Capital, Transportation, Payments & Merchant Services, Retail Operations, Digital, and AWS Accounting.

Key Responsibilities: This role will involve:
- Supporting diverse aspects of our accounting and reporting processes.
- Applying accounting and financial principles effectively.

- Understanding internal control design concepts to evaluate the effectiveness of controls in their area and to create new processes and controls for emerging business activities.

- Making informed judgments to keep projects on track and ensure timely decisions are made for monthly book closures.
- Demonstrating a strong sense of ownership.
- Analyzing complex processes and systems data.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - 3+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - 2+ years of operational accounting experience within a Fortune 500 company

  • CPA certification
  • Familiarity with internal control frameworks (specifically COSO) to evaluate control design and operational efficiency
  • Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification
  • Experience in accounting management within Big Four firms serving Fortune 500 clients
  • Proficiency in researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions
