Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Terminal Foreman to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. in Cementon, NY. As a Terminal Foreman, you will be responsible for leading a team of internal workers and external contractors to achieve daily bulk cement shipping and unloading objectives in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of internal workers and external contractors to ensure safe and efficient bulk cement material loading and unloading.
  • Schedule and distribute daily work assignments to achieve bulk cement shipping and unloading objectives.
  • Coordinate and organize routine equipment repairs and maintenance activities in the bulk cement storage silos, rail unloading system, and dock areas.
  • Support routine safety and environmental compliance and site security in accordance with OSHA and established NY State and Federal regulations.
  • Support forward planning, scheduling, and reporting associated with bulk cement import receipts, internal bulk cement transfers, and out-bound shipments.
  • Support spare parts procurement, ordering of materials and supplies, and general spare parts inventory management relative to bulk cement material handling systems.
Requirements
  • 2-year Associate's degree or technical degree and/or 1-3 years equivalent job training and/or experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of OSHA strongly preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word, SAP, CDM.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Good communication skills both oral and written.
  • Good organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
  • Prior experience working in an industrial or manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Prior experience in distribution or terminal facility strongly preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience supporting safety in an organization (OSHA or MSHA).
  • Prior technical experience and understanding or training is a plus.
