Plant Operations Manager

The Plant Manager is responsible for leading the operations and management of our quarry. This individual will plan, direct, and coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for safely producing the highest quality products in a timely manner. This position reports to the Regional Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for employees and minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Oversee the production process, including scheduling, inventory management, and quality control to ensure that products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage a team of production staff, including training, coaching, and performance management to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their jobs effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical services, procurement, and maintenance to ensure that the plant operates efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports to ensure that the plant operates within budget and meets financial targets.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and revenue growth.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or equivalent preferred.
- Quarry production experience, preferably with at least 3 years of experience. Quality control experience would be advantageous.
- Demonstrate high ethical standards and a dedicated commitment to safety.
- Strong mechanical and plant operations knowledge.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills across all levels of employees.
- Valid driver's license.
- Proven dependability, organization, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
- High degree of accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to details.
- Legal right to work in USA.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Job involves sitting, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, and bending for brief periods of time in all types of weather. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, to communicate to employees/visitors.
