Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Nursing Unit Director to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the operations of our nursing units, providing guidance and support to nursing staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of one or more nursing units, including budgeting, staffing, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, including mentoring, coaching, and evaluating performance.
- Collaborate with other leaders and departments to ensure effective communication and problem-solving.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve patient outcomes, nurse satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Promote a culture of safety, respect, and compassion among nursing staff and patients.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in nursing, preferably in a hospital setting.
- 2 years of leadership experience, including charge or management roles.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Unit-specific certifications as required by departmental needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- MSN or related graduate degree.
- Certification in nursing administration or a related field.
- Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and decision-making.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $44.02 - $70.31 per hour. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
