Role Summary

The Loan Servicing Associate I plays a crucial role in managing various back-office loan operations tasks, ensuring timely completion of daily responsibilities. This position reports directly to the Director of Financial Operations and collaborates within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily reconciliations for trust accounts.
  • Perform daily reconciliations for lender accounts.
  • Monitor trust accounts (including escrow and loan servicing) and take necessary actions promptly.
  • Process checks and ACH payments from borrowers for loan obligations.
  • Handle borrower loan payoffs efficiently.
  • Execute daily online bank deposits.
  • Manage loan fee and holdback transfers.
  • Investigate and resolve stale dated checks.
  • Organize bank statement documentation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive approach to task completion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with simple and compound interest calculations.
  • Previous experience in loan payment or mortgage collections.
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office, including advanced functions like pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision required.
  • Adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
Work Environment

This position is office-based.

Work Schedule

Standard hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility in start and end times.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage for this role ranges from $22 to $23, with additional performance-based bonuses.
