Job Summary

Battelle Memorial Institute is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Neon Seasonal Field Technician. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collecting and processing ecological data in various field settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and record data from field sites using standardized protocols
  • Operate and maintain equipment, including handheld tablets and computers
  • Process and ship samples to laboratories for analysis
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure data quality and accuracy

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One month of experience in ecological field sampling or related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Working Conditions:

  • Field work involves exposure to extreme temperatures, inclement weather, and rugged terrain
  • Instrument maintenance requires ascending and descending instrument towers

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk long distances, carry packs weighing up to 40 pounds, and perform physical tasks in various field settings
