Job Title: Licensed Veterinary Technician

Job Summary:

The Licensed Veterinary Technician plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting hospital operations at Mountain View Veterinary Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality veterinary care, assisting with medical procedures, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care by conducting examinations, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgeries and diagnostic tests.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and test results.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing education and support regarding their pet's care and treatment.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient hospital operations.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest veterinary techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in veterinary technology or a related field preferred.
  • Current licensure as a veterinary technician in the state of [insert state] required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a veterinary technician or in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with pet owners, veterinarians, and other hospital staff.
