Job Summary

The Account Executive, Federal is a critical role at T-Mobile, responsible for selling solutions and services to highly sensitive U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Commands. This individual will leverage their experience in handling large and complex organizations and work directly with clients at the senior management level, developing profitable new government account relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth in the DoD segment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, including senior management and decision-makers.
  • Travel regularly to military installations to meet with clients and identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to build a successful network of internal advocates to support continuity and growth within the Public Sector.
  • Establish and maintain positive public relationships within the community to enhance the organization's image and promote new business.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and tactics.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of sales experience in an acquisition capacity.
  • Less than 2 years of experience in sales/relationship management and RFPs/RFQs within the Federal space.
  • Less than 2 years of experience selling postpaid products within a Federal vertical.
  • Less than 2 years of wireless industry or technical sales experience.
  • Less than 2 years of business markets sales experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of sales and sales strategies, strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously to build and maintain client trust and satisfaction.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience partnering with team members and building cross-functional professional relationships.
