Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to lead our punch and die manufacturing team at Operio Group. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our production process, ensuring high-quality standards, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of machinists, finishers, and helpers to achieve production goals and maintain a positive working environment.
  • Production Planning: Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring a smooth workflow and efficient use of resources.
  • Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control procedures to maintain the highest standards of precision and craftsmanship.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment used in the operation department.
  • Inventory Management: Order and maintain an inventory of daily used shop supplies for production.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate/maintain reports on production performance, efficiency, and quality.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus).
  • Experience: 7+ years of successful leadership experience required. Internal candidates with a demonstrated track record of success within the organization may be considered for this position with a reduced requirement for external experience.
  • Skills: Proven experience as a punch and die maker (or equivalent), working knowledge of punch and die manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, grinding, and EDM (CNC programming and CAD proficiency are a plus).
  • Personal Qualities: Strong communication and interpersonal communication skills, demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities, and knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
Benefits
  • Competitive Pay: $34.00 - $44.00 hourly.
  • Rotating Shifts: This position will be rotating shifts, with a shift differential of $3.00 for 2nd shift.
