We are seeking a skilled Folder Gluer Machine Operator to join our team at Belmark. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of our folder gluer machine, ensuring the efficient conversion of printed tag stock into high-quality products for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Machine Setup and Operation: Read and comprehend job order instructions, locate and stage tag stock, and set up and adjust various machine components, including the infeed system, conveying belt, and glue applicator system.
- Troubleshooting and Quality Control: Troubleshoot problem areas, inspect product quality, and package products into boxes.
- Machine Maintenance and Cleaning: Clean up the machine and surrounding area, and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Communication and Teamwork: Communicate job status with proper departments and work collaboratively with other team members.
- Strong Mechanical Aptitude: Must have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be able to read and comprehend technical instructions.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot problems and think critically to resolve issues.
- Attention to Detail: Must be able to focus and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for 90% of work time, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Work Environment: Work near moving mechanical parts, with nearly constant exposure to vibrations, noise, and chemical odors.
