Position Summary:
Aveanna Healthcare is expanding and is actively seeking skilled Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide exceptional care. We offer both full-time and part-time positions, with shifts ranging from 6-8 hours during the day, evening, and overnight, as well as opportunities for 10 and 12-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Responding to patient inquiries and determining the best course of action.
  • Assisting patients with daily living activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, mobility, and exercise.
  • Repositioning patients who are bedridden.
  • Ensuring dietary needs are met by reviewing dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Gathering comprehensive information from healthcare professionals regarding patient conditions and treatment plans.
  • Monitoring and documenting food and liquid intake, as well as urinary and fecal output, and reporting changes to the medical team.
  • Recording vital signs as requested, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate.
  • Identifying and reporting any medical issues that require attention.
  • Reminding patients to take prescribed medications and nutritional supplements.
  • Documenting observations of patient behavior and physical symptoms for nursing staff.
  • Staying current with CNA training and facility policies.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess a State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Position Overview:
The Certified Nursing Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering personal medical care and assisting with daily living activities that enhance the quality of life for our patients, enabling them to remain in their homes while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Essential Functions:
  • Performing and documenting medical care tasks, including basic first aid, vital signs monitoring, and personal hygiene assistance.
  • Coordinating and completing all necessary documentation related to patient care.
  • Observing and reporting significant changes in patient conditions to the nursing supervisor.
  • Providing hands-on personal care and executing simple procedures as part of therapy or nursing services.
  • Administering services as ordered by the physician in the care plan.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current, unrestricted certification as required by state regulations.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in clinical assessments and compliance with care policies.
Additional Skills:
  • Attention to detail and effective time management.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, and bending.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to emergency situations.
Work Environment:
  • Ability to function in diverse environments with potential exposure to allergens and infectious diseases.
