About the Role:

We are in search of a committed Pediatric Speech Therapist to assist students in the Newark area. The team is adaptable in defining the caseload, so whether your interests lie in middle school, high school, developmental speech and language challenges, or Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), there is likely a fitting opportunity for you. The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language challenges affecting academic performance.
  • Collaborating with essential stakeholders to create Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements.
  • Providing both direct and indirect speech and language services to designated students.
  • Partnering closely with classroom educators and interdisciplinary teams to enhance students' speech and language growth.
  • Regularly monitoring student progress through observations and data analysis, allowing for necessary modifications to treatment strategies.
  • Maintaining open and consistent communication with families, providing updates and strategies to encourage ongoing development at home.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in school settings and/or working with pediatric populations, specifically K-12 students.
  • A Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • A valid Delaware SLP license from the Delaware Division of Professional Regulation.
  • Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply; inquire about our clinical fellowship program.
