About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to lead and participate in one of our SEIT Agile Development Teams working in a collaborative, iterative development environment supporting one of our premier classified programs on our Aurora, CO campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the SEIT ADT in full Agile processes, including sprint planning, grooming, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives to ensure products integrate with the ground segment.
  • Perform System-level design activities and lead the team in creating well-written stories that are development-ready.
  • Participate in externally facing working groups and interact with Program Leadership and Customer on program-related topics.
  • Conduct performance analyses, risk analyses, and trade studies, and support ground system development activities.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 8+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Active Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance is required prior to start date, and ability to obtain Special Access. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment, participating or leading highly integrated teams working closely with software, integration, and verification teams.
  • Experience in Model-based System Engineering, including operations concept development, system and product design, requirements management, technical risk management, interface definition, and control.
  • Domain experience with Mission Management (MM) and/or Command and Control (C2).
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors, as well as ability to identify, manage, and mitigate technical risks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Systems Engineering experience on a large government software development contract.
  • Experience in system-level verification and validation.
  • Experience in systems engineering process development and deployment.
  • Experience leading a diverse Engineering team, working in a multi-discipline environment.
