Job Summary

As a Branch Manager at Banc of California, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving branch excellence. You will lead a diverse and high-performing team, achieving superior financial results, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in business development activities, soliciting new business prospects, and instilling a positive sales environment through education of the Bank's products and services.
  • Investigate and follow-up on significant changes in status of existing customers, motivating and monitoring staff in cross-selling and product presentation compared to goals.
  • Perform personnel actions, including performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and interviewing candidates for employment.
  • Supervise daily activities, including effective delegation of assignments, developing work schedules, and providing necessary training.
  • Assume responsibility for operational compliance within the branch, including teller cash counts, certifications, new and closed account reports, CTR filing, suspicious activity reporting, and staff adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure audit compliance and procedure quality control, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
  • Effectively execute on contact management strategy through utilization of available tools and resources, including routine outbound phone calls and in-person meetings.
Requirements
  • Advanced experience, knowledge, and training in progressively responsible branch management and supervisory activities, financial statement and tax return preparation, and all lending activities and terminology.
  • Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation, mainframe computer system, word processing, spreadsheet, and specialty software programs.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule and the work schedules of others on a short-term and long-term basis.
  • Ability to communicate with individuals utilizing a telephone, requiring the ability to hear and speak effectively on the telephone.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 10 years' of related experience and/or training. Work-related experience should consist of branch management, operations, and/or lending experience within the financial services industry. Prior experience in a supervisory position is preferred.

Current California driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.

Salary Range: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 USD; Final salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with geographic/market data.
