Key Responsibilities

  • Collect samples of products for analysis during shifts.
  • Monitor and record temperature, pressure, and flow meter readings, addressing any deviations from normal operating conditions.
  • Maintain accurate logs of gauge readings and production data using electronic systems.
  • Conduct inspections of safety equipment and emergency response tools.
  • Perform chemical testing on product samples to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions, completing necessary electronic work orders for maintenance.
  • Prepare equipment for maintenance following Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Adhere to all critical safety procedures and ensure proper documentation.
  • Adjust controls to maintain operational parameters.
  • Coordinate with loading systems for product storage.
  • Initiate pumps as required for operations.
  • Communicate any concerns or issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Complete required rounds and document findings in logs.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and best practices.
  • Review management changes and operational instructions before shifts.
  • Engage in troubleshooting efforts and communicate results to team members.
  • Follow alarm bypass protocols and ensure timely removal of bypasses.
  • Complete necessary training and qualifications as directed.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all personnel in the unit.
  • Conduct regular patrols to verify safe and efficient operations.
  • Assist with turnaround duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with other units and management regarding production and operational changes.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment as required.
  • Perform maintenance tasks as outlined in labor agreements.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor environmental conditions and safety compliance within the unit.
  • Participate in safety meetings to discuss performance and address concerns.
  • Invoke the 'Stop Work' policy when safety is compromised.
  • Complete required training to meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Engage in safety committees and initiatives as needed.
  • Report unsafe conditions or procedural discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Complete necessary work permits and inspections.
