Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Process Engineer to join our team at Goodyear. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for developing technical proficiency and applying good engineering practices in assigned process areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting and technical support to operations and maintenance teams to ensure smooth day-to-day activities.
  • Quality Management: Investigate and determine corrective actions for incidents impacting product quality, and perform scheduled process quality internal audits.
  • Project Management: Provide technical support for small capital project work, utilizing capital project charters to acquire necessary approvals and maintain adequate communication.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Support: Provide technical support for accurate risk assessment of plant processes, and identify and pursue actions that reduce plant environmental footprint.
Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience as an engineer in a chemical manufacturing process
  • Experience in working with multidisciplinary technical associates to achieve cost-effective goals
  • Project management experience preferred
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to lead and influence without direct authority
  • Embraces collaboration and teamwork in achieving business goals and objectives
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and other continuous improvement tools
