Job Overview

Position Title: Production Scheduling Specialist

Location: Remote (Hybrid Option Available)

Contract Duration: 2 Years (Potential for Extension)

Compensation: $25/hr. to $35/hr.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a meticulous and well-organized Production Scheduling Specialist to enhance our operational efficiency. This role is pivotal in managing the seamless flow of materials and products throughout the manufacturing process to fulfill client requirements. You will liaise with multiple departments to uphold precise inventory levels, expedite essential materials, and ensure adherence to production timelines.

Core Responsibilities:

Material Flow Oversight:

  • Guarantee the prompt transfer of raw materials, components, subassemblies, assemblies, or finished products from both internal and external sources.
  • Accelerate critical material deliveries to avert production delays.

Order and Inventory Supervision:

  • Examine and oversee open sales orders, forecast schedules, and stock levels.
  • Maintain and refresh material control databases, ensuring precision and timely modifications.
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies and validate the accuracy of all reports.

Production Coordination and Scheduling:

  • Design, schedule, and coordinate product approvals throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure material availability aligns with the production timetable.
  • Engage in shipment status discussions, providing updates and ensuring follow-through on commitments.

Interdepartmental Collaboration:

  • Work in close partnership with Marketing, Sales, Production, and Engineering teams to synchronize production plans with organizational objectives.
  • Offer insights to management regarding potential enhancements in production scheduling and material management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in Supply Chain, Warehouse Logistics, Manufacturing, or Spare Parts Operations.
