Role Responsibilities:

The Evening Support Specialist will:

  • Operate during after-hours, which includes evenings and weekends, ensuring continuous support for members.
  • Respond to incoming inquiries and manage urgent situations to safeguard member health and well-being.
  • Collaborate with various agencies, including Adult Protective Services and law enforcement, to coordinate urgent member needs.
  • Document all interactions, conduct thorough assessments, and follow up to ensure members are in safe environments.
  • Perform administrative duties such as data entry and updates to member files as directed.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Understanding of human behavior and the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Familiarity with relevant federal and state regulations.
  • Skills in crisis management and effective communication.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and the ability to type at least 40 words per minute.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with a minimum of three years of experience in customer service, particularly in community settings involving individuals with developmental disabilities, are highly encouraged to apply.
