Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  1. Task Planning and Coordination: Plan, schedule, and complete tasks to meet service and delivery schedules, ensuring timely completion of maintenance activities.
  2. Supervision and Instruction: Assist management in supervising and instructing aircraft technicians in proper procedures and techniques for troubleshooting airframe and engine systems, routine inspections, and preventive maintenance.
  3. Performance Appraisal and Development: Assess the strengths and weaknesses of subordinates, apply strengths for maximum job efficiency, and provide guidance and growth opportunities to reinforce developmental areas.
  4. Component Management: Ensure all required components are ordered for timely availability, send items out for rework or repair as needed, receive and inspect upon return, and perform engine runs on aircraft as required.
  5. Maintenance and Servicing: Perform required periodic maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems, demonstrating the ability to consistently perform assigned maintenance tasks within quoted or standard CMP time.
  6. Troubleshooting and Inspection: Perform post and pre-flight inspections, troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions such as fluid leaks and minor structural damage, and follow standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment.
  7. Work Scheduling and Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining work schedules and updating of CMP cards, reviewing work, including forms and records, to ensure compliance with Gulfstream Repair Station procedures and FAA Airworthiness Standards.
  8. Additional Responsibilities: Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain good housekeeping and safety in all areas, help develop goals for subordinates, and support the company's OGSM at the floor level.
Requirements
  1. Advanced Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of inspection and heavy maintenance, including aircraft component removal and installation, flight control rigging, engine removal, installation, rigging, schedule and unscheduled inspections, and major or minor sheetmetal/structural repairs or alterations.
  2. Technical Reference Materials: Advanced working knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials, including maintenance manuals, IPCs, and structural repair manuals, service bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, etc.
  3. Communication Skills: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
