Job Summary

TDA Research is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Mechanic Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of laboratory, infrastructure, and plant equipment
  • Assist with laboratory moves and new equipment installations
  • Calibrate various tools and instruments
  • Perform basic plumbing and carpentry repairs
  • Document records of inspections, maintenance activity, repairs, and other work performed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 8-12 years of experience in installing, calibrating, maintaining, rebuilding, and repairing equipment and tools
  • Ability to direct 1-2 other technicians
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Trade schooling or certification
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or research and development environment

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to climb and work from ladders

Working Conditions:

The Team Lead may be required to work with a variety of hazardous materials, such as compressed gases, cryogenic liquids, acids, bases, oxidizers, solvents, vacuum pump oils, and other hazardous chemicals.
