Position Overview:

BASIS Independent Schools is a prominent network of private, secular educational institutions dedicated to delivering an exceptional curriculum for students from PreK to 12th grade. We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Lead Teacher in Early Childhood Education.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Lead Teacher, you will utilize your expertise in early childhood education to cultivate a vibrant and engaging learning atmosphere. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Fostering a positive classroom community that enhances student engagement and promotes a welcoming environment.
  • Designing and implementing intervention and enrichment activities to support core instruction and boost academic success.
  • Delivering interactive lessons in literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies to achieve outstanding educational outcomes.
  • Instructing students in essential executive functioning skills to encourage autonomy and responsibility.
  • Establishing effective communication channels with families to involve them in their children's educational journey.
  • Guiding student behavior to promote academic achievement and personal growth.
  • Collaborating with fellow educators to develop and execute innovative lessons aligned with the BASIS Curriculum.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education.
  • Proven success in fostering student achievement and managing classroom dynamics.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • A commitment to professional growth and a willingness to embrace feedback.

Preferred Experience:

While not mandatory, candidates with a minimum of two years of experience in a PK-1 classroom setting will be favored. A successful applicant will demonstrate effective communication abilities and openness to innovative teaching strategies.
