Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Trinity Health Michigan. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring a safe and efficient surgical experience for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare for scheduled operative procedures by arranging sterile set up of instrument tables, drapes, instruments, and sutures required for the procedure.
  • Pass instruments, sponges, sutures, and other sterile supplies and equipment to surgeons and assist during procedures.
  • Count sponges, needles, and instruments used during surgery and assist with dressing of operative site following closing.
  • Assist RN with circulating duties such as opening supplies, assisting with positioning, obtaining equipment and supplies, and preparing the operative site.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an associate degree in Surgical Technology and active certification as a Surgical Tech, or two (2) years of surgical technologist experience and active certification as a surgical technologist.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist required, must be obtained within 6 months of hire if the candidate has recently completed a Surgical Technologist program.
