About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Shaner Hotels. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain complete knowledge of state sanitation and health regulations, as well as hotel requirements.
  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
  • Establish and maintain standards and procedures for operations and safe working conditions in the department.
  • Direct, train, and monitor the performance of kitchen staff.
  • Plan, prepare, and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials.
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a line cook, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers.
  • High school graduate or equivalent, with certification of culinary training preferred.
  • Safe food handling certificate.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as B.E.O.'s, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
