Job Description

**Job Title:** Process Engineer

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team at Openwork. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing existing processes and developing new ones to improve safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Optimization: Optimize existing processes and develop new processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Cost Savings: Evaluate cost-saving measures and develop debottlenecking procedures to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Compounding Processes: Develop, configure, and optimize compounding processes for new and existing materials.
  • Production Department Coordination: Coordinate all aspects of production department and maintenance department, including safety and lean manufacturing.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the manufacturing facilities comply with all applicable ISO, US environmental, OSHA regulations, responsible care initiatives, and SCC requirements.
  • Procedure Development: Develop and establish procedures for maintaining high standards of operations.
  • System Design and Testing: Design, run, test, analyze, and upgrade systems and processes.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data and change written procedures based on data analysis.
  • Leadership and Communication: Take a leadership role in customer and internal corrective action investigations and root cause analysis, and develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output while managing cost and time constraints.
  • Team Collaboration: Work and interact with departments and plant personnel, and possess exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and knowledge of ISO, Kaizen, 5S, and automotive plastic business a plus.
  • Travel and Schedule: This position will require some traveling and must have a flexible schedule.
  • Compensation: The pay rate is $85,000-$100,000/year and up.
