Position Overview
This role is situated within the finance division of the Department of Neurological Surgery, contributing to the operational and financial functions essential for the department's success.

Key Responsibilities
This position encompasses a variety of financial and operational tasks, including:

  • Conducting thorough analysis of documentation and executing transactions in compliance with established policies.
  • Processing travel and entertainment reimbursement requests, along with all purchasing and accounts payable transactions.
  • Acting as an internal expert on policies and procedures related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, and reimbursement processes.
  • Providing financial organization and analytical support by generating various ad-hoc reports and maintaining detailed spreadsheets.
  • Assisting the Finance Manager and Chief Administrative Officer with fiscal planning and analysis.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or a combination of education and experience.
  • Several years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Proficiency in purchasing and accounts payable processes.
  • Strong mathematical skills for accounting and purchasing tasks.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures effectively.
  • Experience with financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent customer service abilities, ensuring responsiveness and support for staff and vendors.
