Position Overview

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as the Manager of IT Financial Operations. This role is pivotal in supporting our mission and strategic objectives by developing innovative strategies, enhancing partnerships, and leveraging technology.

Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Staff Services Manager II, the Manager of IT Financial Operations will:

  • Lead a team of analysts responsible for all fiscal and budgetary functions within the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD).
  • Oversee the financial implications of proposed legislation and ensure accurate budgetary information related to ITSD operations.
  • Play a vital role in preparing budget change proposals, fiscal analyses, and various departmental reports.
  • Conduct data analyses to effectively forecast expenditures and funding requirements.
Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a combination of telework and in-office presence. Candidates must be California residents to qualify for telework options.

Travel Requirements

Business travel may be necessary, with reimbursement policies in accordance with departmental regulations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in budgeting and accounting, preferably within the public sector.
