About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Business Visionary to drive the overall business vision and well-represent the SP brand. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for determining the retailer's needs, selecting the supplier, negotiating purchases, analyzing business performance, and presenting strategic next steps to the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine the retailer's needs by researching fashion trends, season, consumer needs, and quantities.
  • Select the supplier by purchasing the right merchandise at the best price, in the right quantity, of the right quality from reliable suppliers.
  • Negotiate purchases by establishing relationships with vendors and hammering out the best deals.
  • Analyze business performance and present strategic next steps to the leadership team.
  • Partner with the planning team to construct and manage seasonal financial targets.
  • Follow up on current buying brands by identifying their performance and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings with vendors and the buying team.
  • Travel to trade shows and vendors to identify upcoming trends that pertain to the brand.

About You

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with 4-6 years of buying experience in the retail industry. You must have extensive vendor negotiation and interaction skills, as well as strong analytical and quantitative analysis skills. A well-informed buyer is a must, and you should be comfortable with stress and deadlines. Computer savvy with Excel skills is also a requirement.
