Position Overview

WORKING HOURS: Sunday and Thursday from 4pm to 12am, totaling 40 hours weekly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily supervision and assistance to residents.
  • Gather, verify, and secure essential documentation for residents, identifying potential challenges they may encounter in accessing support and housing.
  • Assist with case management and care under the guidance of the Program Manager, facilitating groups focused on life skills or spiritual studies.
  • Connect residents with community resources addressing mental health, social, spiritual, recreational, and basic housing needs.
  • Monitor and document resident behaviors and progress in line with agency standards.
  • Help organize and oversee recreational activities.
  • Document financial assistance and income sources for clients, including SSI and employment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards through assigned household chores.
  • Conduct drug and alcohol testing of clients as required.
  • Supervise and document medication administration in accordance with agency policies.
  • Perform any additional duties necessary for the effective operation of the community residence.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Committed Christian with a passion for "Changing Lives. Restoring Hope" among the impoverished, addicted, and mentally ill.
  • Exhibit compassion, discernment, and maintain appropriate boundaries.
  • Respect the leadership structure, standards, and ministry objectives of Open Door Mission.
  • Proficient in data entry and computer skills for daily office communications.
  • Strong team player with attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Able to adapt positively in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in resource acquisition is beneficial.
  • Must demonstrate high levels of trustworthiness and reliability.
  • A valid NYS driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
