Classroom Support Aide

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Classroom Support Aide to join our team at Ibero-American Action League. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Primary Caregivers and/or Head Teachers in implementing a developmentally appropriate program
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with Ibero staff, staff from related agencies, community representatives, and parents
  • Follow Ibero's policies and procedures, NYS regulations, UPK standards, and OCFS regulations
  • Supervise and ensure children's safety during all activities
  • Assist with minor cleaning duties as assigned
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings, parent meetings, trainings, and daycare center events as assigned
Requirements
  • High School diploma and 2 years' experience working with children
  • CDA in Child Development Preferred

Skills and Abilities
  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience

  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Must have clearance through the NYS Central Registry, good police record, and good health
  • Ability to work alternative work schedule to support program/parent evening and weekend activities
  • Must show creativity and flexibility
Physical Demands

The position does require occasional standing, squatting, lifting of up to approximately 40 lbs. And frequent sitting.

Salary Description

$16 - $21 per hour
