Job Overview

FreightCenter is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations and ensure smooth processes across treasury, general ledger, payroll, and more. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting, managing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with GAAP principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all accounting operations, including billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and general ledger functions.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis to support key business decisions.
  • Ensure quality control, maintaining high standards for financial transactions, reporting, and analysis.
  • Oversee cash flow and ensure proper treasury management, including risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate payroll processing, employee onboarding, and benefit tracking.
  • Manage bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Track and report expenses, maintaining organized financial records and responding to internal and external financial inquiries.
  • Supervise invoicing process, track payments, manage payables, and ensure timely and accurate transaction processing.
Requirements
  • At least an associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred) and/or at least 2 years of experience as an Accounting Manager.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is required.
  • Experience in the eight-step, Full Cycle Accounting Process is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), with experience in SharePoint and NetSuite being a plus.
  • Strong multitasking ability, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well with a team, communicate effectively, and provide support across departments.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality, especially in managing sensitive financial information.
