Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and evaluate the work of assigned staff, providing coaching and guidance to improve performance.
- Monitor and oversee communications between callers, dispatchers, and police units, ensuring accurate and efficient relay of information.
- Investigate and resolve complaints regarding subordinate performance and service levels.
- Review and implement new technology to improve dispatch operations, including computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communication equipment.
- Dispatch police personnel and equipment to incidents, prioritizing and sequencing incoming information to ensure effective response.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least three years of progressively responsible public safety dispatch communications experience, with at least one year in a lead capacity.
- Successful completion of P.O.S.T. Public Safety Dispatcher course.
- Valid California driver's license.
