We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Room Service Coordinator CVT to join our team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the Cardiovascular, Vascular, Thoracic, and Transplant (CVT) specialty team.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Operations: Assist the Manager, Operations in the coordination of management activities for the CVT specialty team, ensuring the highest level of quality and cost standards.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership to the assigned specialty staff, demonstrating clinical expertise and expertise in the CVT specialty.
- Training and Development: Collaborate with OR manager, staff, and Staff Educators to provide a CVT training and development plan for staff.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate Interdisciplinary Specialty Team meetings and work with surgical services support personnel to plan patient care and ensure resource availability and safe practice.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure regulatory compliance of all activities and assure the environment is clean, attractive, safe, and free from hazards for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Education: Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing and Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
- Certification: CNOR or Certification within the surgical specialty.
- Licensure: Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license.
- Skills: Ability to support team call requirement of 1,386 hours in a 6 week schedule and supports training of the insertion of elective/emergent Cardiopulmonary bypass, V-V/V-A Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
- Experience: 5 years of OR nursing experience with at least 2 of those years within the surgical specialty area.
