Job Title: Perioperative Nurse Leader

Surgical Directions is seeking a highly skilled perioperative nurse leader to spearhead a transformational improvement project within our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary workstreams and improvement teams to drive transformative change initiatives within perioperative services.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate pre-anesthesia testing processes.
  • Implement effective change management strategies to navigate organizational shifts and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide visionary leadership, mentorship, and coaching to staff and leaders.
  • Partner with facility resources to optimize supply chain processes and inventory management.
  • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives to align perioperative and NORA services with organizational goals.
  • Implement quality and safety measures to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Drive operational efficiency initiatives across perioperative and NORA departments.
  • Optimize staffing levels using data analytics and operational metrics.
  • Collaborate with perioperative and NORA department leaders to standardize and improve workflow processes.
  • Work closely with clinical partners to drive operational improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate change management programs to drive adoption of new processes and practices.
  • Improve patient readiness in hospitals to drive optimal patient outcomes.
  • Identify barriers and develop solutions for sustainable change and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize predictive analytics and data-driven insights to recommend optimal staffing levels and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and surgeon offices to improve access to the operating room.
  • Drive initiatives to improve sterile processing practices.
  • Enhance preference card management processes and establish sustainability measures.
Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a current state license.
  • A Master's degree in Nursing, business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in perioperative nursing.
  • Leadership and consulting skills, including experience in leading teams and managing change in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability, business acumen, presentation skills, negotiation and influence, and ethical conduct.
