About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Global Sales Development Specialist to join our team at IMI plc. As a Technical Sales Development Representative, you will play a critical role in promoting and selling our products and services to existing and new customers in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their needs and requirements, and providing customized solutions where applicable.
  • Drive Sales Growth: Drive an aftermarket discipline and operating rhythm to cover all customers every month, identify plant outages, perform plant walkdowns to evaluate product performance, and create preventive maintenance plans with customers.
  • Product Expertise: Develop a comprehensive understanding of our aftermarket products and services, presenting IMI solutions, including product features, benefits, and value proposition to customers.
  • Needs Assessment and Consultation: Conduct needs assessments and provide consultative guidance to customers regarding the best aftermarket solutions for their specific requirements, offering product recommendations, customization options, and technical support to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed of market trends and competitive activity, making strategic adjustments to ensure long-term market footprint and growth.
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Update Customer Relationship Management tool, Salesforce, with all required details from customer visits, create visit reports for every customer visit, and be responsible for forecasting (monthly, quarterly, yearly, LTF).

  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and internal teams, collaborating effectively across departments, such as marketing, inside sales, project management, operations, and service to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze customer requirements, identify pain points, and propose innovative solutions to address customer needs effectively, demonstrating critical thinking and adaptability to overcome obstacles and achieve sales objectives.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations, ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from top management, clients, and potential customers.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint), as well as Outlook.

Frequent visits to customer sites, including refineries, power plants, petrochemical, and chemicals plants, are expected.
