Job Overview

The Midtown Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Legal Counsel to join our team as a Contract Specialist. This role will play a crucial part in providing legal support across various departments of the company, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and supporting the Executive team in various legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, NDAs, and more.
  • Contract Lifecycle Management: Manage the contract lifecycle from initiation to execution, ensuring all contracts are properly documented and stored.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and keep up to date with changes in legislation.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct legal research and stay informed on relevant legal trends and issues.
  • Support and Collaboration: Support the company in various legal matters, including corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Professional Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a legal role, preferably with a focus on contract management.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong understanding of contract law and experience with contract drafting and negotiation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
