Position Title: Director of Admissions Operations

Classification: Administrator I

Overview:

The Director of Admissions Operations plays a pivotal role in the Admissions, Outreach, and Orientation department, reporting directly to the Executive Director. This position is responsible for leading the undergraduate admissions processing team and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration of undergraduate admissions processes, including appeals and data reporting.
  • Engage in strategic decision-making and manage critical operations such as Cal State Apply and veteran admissions.
  • Direct the planning, execution, and evaluation of the Student Admissions Module systems, aligning with the university's strategic goals.
  • Provide technical leadership for various systems supporting Student Admission Records, including PeopleSoft and CRM solutions.
  • Manage the technical processes for the Student Admissions module, ensuring smooth operations for each admissions cycle.
  • Collaborate with key campus and external partners to support strategic objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Supervise the daily operations of the Admissions & Outreach and Orientation department, including staff training and performance management.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role or providing lead direction to staff.
  • Experience in resolving complex organizational and procedural challenges.

Skills and Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of admissions processing policies and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Leadership skills to guide and mentor team members.
  • Interpersonal skills to foster effective working relationships in a diverse environment.
