We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Support Manager to join our team at D3 Search. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting the success of our clients and contributing to the growth and development of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Unit Management: Collaborate with Global Business Leaders to develop, implement, and maintain unit procedures and initiatives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Prepare, execute, and monitor performance as it pertains to the annual business plan.
  • Talent Development: Collaborate with Business Unit Leaders and Practice Group Leaders on talent development needs for non-partner timekeepers, including training efforts, recruiting needs, and benchmarking against peer law firms.
  • Work Assignment: Assign work to non-partner timekeepers based on availability and skillsets, ensuring equal opportunities for all timekeepers.
  • Capacity Management: Ensure effective capacity management of timekeepers through monthly reporting, analyzing performance metrics and analysis as requested by Business Unit Leaders and Practice Group Leaders.
  • Process Improvement: Normalize docket management and filing functions across offices.
  • Communication: Coordinate and organize agendas for regular Partner meetings, LSL and PGL calls, quarterly associate meetings, and legal support staff meetings within the Business Unit.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate BU-wide training for interpersonal, IT, BD, and other general skills.
  • Recruiting: Collaborate with Business Unit Leaders, Practice Section Leaders, Local Section Leaders, and Directors of Administration to identify staff recruiting needs.
  • Pricing Strategy: Collaborate with the pricing team to develop and implement competitive pricing strategies based on the business plan within the Business Unit.
  • Job Descriptions and Best Practices: Collaborate with Global Business Leaders in the creation of job descriptions and best practice templates for LSL roles specific to litigation.
  • Talent Management and Training: Coordinate with talent management and training on litigation training initiatives.
  • Employee Relations: Collaborate with Directors of Administration and Human Resources in handling employee relations issues and disciplinary actions, timesheets, and performance evaluations.
  • Practice Section Messaging: Coordinate Practice Section messaging in partnership with Practice Group Leaders to share necessary updates, strategic direction, and ongoing research within the section.
  • Client Service: Drive client service methods through innovation and efficiency across the Business Unit to better serve our clients by utilizing new technologies, processes, and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience required. Legal Studies, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Experience working as an attorney, other timekeeper, or manager in a law firm or similar professional services firm required. Three years of supervisory experience managing timekeepers or staff highly preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Professional organized self-starter with the ability to interact with attorneys and staff at all levels in a fast-paced, challenging legal work environment. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Superior project management skills with the ability to analyze processes to determine effectiveness and deficiencies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint). Strong proficiency in numerical analysis required. Familiarity with budgetary analysis and expense guidelines is preferred. Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion.
Compensation and Benefits

Annual salary is $150K to $190K (DOE/DOQ). Comprehensive health benefits package, generous PTO, 401K, paid parking onsite, hybrid 3/2 work model, annual salary increases, and lucrative bonuses (based on individual merit and performance), and many other employee-centered perks.
