Position Overview

Role Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Benefits Administrator to become a vital part of our People Systems division. In this capacity, you will oversee the management and execution of employee benefits initiatives, which encompass health, dental, vision, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), Leaves of Absence (LOA), Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and various state-specific leave regulations. You will also be responsible for maintaining vendor partnerships, orchestrating open enrollment, managing retirement plans, conducting compliance audits, and ensuring adherence to 1095 reporting requirements. As a Benefits Administrator at HRT Solutions, you will report to the Director of People Systems and manage benefits for a diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer expert guidance and support to employees regarding various benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, EAP, LOA, STD, LTD, and FMLA.
  • Oversee the administration of FMLA and state-specific leave laws, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Act as the primary liaison for benefit vendors, managing relationships to guarantee high-quality service delivery.
  • Coordinate the annual open enrollment process, ensuring effective communication and education for employees.
  • Administer the retirement plan, ensuring compliance with regulatory and audit standards.
  • Ensure adherence to ACA regulations and manage the preparation and distribution of necessary compliance forms.
  • Process employee lifecycle changes and updates within benefits management systems.
  • Develop and refine policies and procedures for the benefits function, maintaining an updated Benefits Procedures Manual.
  • Provide support for HRIS, benefits, and compensation administration as needed.
  • Address routine employee inquiries related to benefits, delivering accurate and timely information.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to formulate and implement benefits policies and procedures.
  • Stay informed about changes in benefits legislation and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Assist in creating and delivering educational programs related to benefits for employees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, EAP, LOA, STD, LTD, FMLA, and state-specific leave laws.
  • Strong understanding of retirement plan administration and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and facilitating open enrollment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of effectively assisting and educating employees on benefits matters.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration systems.
  • Ability to remain current with changes in benefits laws and regulations.
