Berlitz Languages, a prominent institution in language instruction, is currently seeking a Mandarin Language Educator. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in Mandarin language and literature, with proven experience in teaching young learners in a direct classroom environment.

This educational program is designed for students in grades K to 5, with classes scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays or Wednesdays and Fridays, 7:50 am - 8:40 am, depending on the assigned group.

This position is based in the U.S.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct in-person lessons in alignment with Berlitz educational methodologies, focusing on the specific goals, needs, and interests of the students.
  • Maintain accurate pedagogical and attendance records for all students.
  • Incorporate educational technology into lesson plans and manage shared teaching resources.
  • Possess reliable transportation for commuting to teaching locations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Prior teaching experience is essential.
  • Candidates must demonstrate a minimum proficiency level of Berlitz Level 7 (equivalent to CEF Level B1.3) in the Mandarin language.
  • Excellent communication skills are required.
  • Basic administrative skills and proficiency in computer applications for lesson delivery and record-keeping.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. The employee frequently needs to stand, walk, use hands for various tasks, and may occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift or move objects.

COMPENSATION: $65.33 per hour

WORK SETTING:This position operates within a professional office environment, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
